Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lectrix. By using Lectrix, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Lectrix is a study-tracking tool that helps you plan and track your progress through lecture-based exam preparation. Lectrix is an independent product, currently offered in an early-access form, and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Lectrix. By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You sign in to Lectrix using Google. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your Google credentials secure. Accounts are for individual use and may not be shared, transferred, or sold.
4. Access and payments
- Access to Lectrix may require an access fee, which will be shown to you before you pay.
- Payments are processed through the method(s) made available at the time of purchase. Today, payment is handled manually via UPI; in the future, it may be handled through a third-party payment gateway. Where a payment gateway is used, your payment is processed directly by that provider, and Lectrix does not receive or store your card, bank, or UPI credentials.
- Subscriptions and auto-renewal. Where Lectrix is offered as a recurring subscription, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, and your chosen payment method will be charged for each renewal, until you cancel. The renewal terms and price will be made clear to you at the time of purchase.
- Cancelling a subscription. You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access until then. Unless required by applicable law, cancelling does not refund the current period.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. If we change the price of a recurring subscription, we will give you notice before it applies to your next renewal, so you can decide whether to continue.
- Refunds. Because Lectrix is an early-access digital product, access and subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If you believe there is a problem with your payment or access, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, or provide unauthorized access to your account or to Lectrix.
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute the service or its content for commercial purposes.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Use Lectrix for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the study data you enter into Lectrix. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to operate and provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
Lectrix, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.
8. Independence and third-party references
Lectrix is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), any coaching institute, any faculty member, or any course provider. Names of exams, courses, or faculty that may appear in Lectrix are used only to help you identify and organize your own study material, and remain the property of their respective owners.
9. No guarantee of results
Lectrix is a planning and tracking aid. We do not guarantee any particular academic outcome, exam result, or level of performance. Your results depend on your own effort and many factors outside our control.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lectrix is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm Lectrix or other users. You may stop using Lectrix at any time and may request deletion of your account.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Lectrix after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Lectrix.
